IDOLS BE GONE

Some Believers have embraced a prosperity version of God that’s chiefly about their personal security and prosperity. It’s supporting beliefs are tend to the entitlement/worthiness of themselves and the undeserving nature of the poor.
PATHETIC IDOLS
Others are attached to a ‘scarcity’ version of God. Still others have accommodated themselves to a mean and boring God. It has been said that they stick with this distortion because they are too afraid not to. There are books written by supposedly inspired authors that subtly imply a God who verges on mean and who is certainly ‘not amused’. Such books are more influenced by the notion that matter is bad and mind is good than they are by Kingdom Culture. This is yet another of the distortions of the good and evil tree.
The fact that Jesus came in the flesh, means that He has come in you. Jesus makes you more human, not less.
WRONG GOD IS UNLOVE
The movie Prometheus (2012) insinuated the notion that if there was a greater power that might be called god, then the nature of it was malign. These insinuations are seeded into the human mind by the father of lies. They are ongoing and numerous.
Distrust of God originates in the culture of lies that came among us as a result of the fall. Lies about the un-trustworthiness of Father and insinuations of the capriciousness of Jesus Christ originate from where they always have – the pit. They are seeded into humanity’s consciousness by the spirit of anti-christ. The truth about God is found in the person of Jesus Christ who is God and who is one with Father and with us. You are joined to God in Jesus and will find your truly human self in Jesus. As Jesus said to the disciples, ‘If you have seen me, you have seen the Father.’ You have also seen yourself.
GOD DOES NOT ABANDON
Jesus’ cry on the cross, ‘Why have you forsaken me?’ was the cry of humanity manifest through Jesus. Father had not forsaken Him.* Father was with Jesus. God was with humanity in the most despicable act that humanity could express. The killing of LIFE when Life came among us. This is the ultimate act of the ‘money changer’ which amazingly leads to the money-changers being set free from their carnal selves.
There are many in this season who prefer money to an earth that is abundantly alive. In the future someone will write a book entitled, ‘The Materialism Cult: How to Kill the Earth through Irresponsibility and Stupidity.’
FULL LIFE FOR ALL
Jesus came to reveal Father, to reveal who humans are and to generate life to the full. His resurrection began the new creation. If we are His disciples we are part of this multiplication of life. Never disciples of a religion that is selfishness disguised.
Jesus’ cross ended money changing as ‘godliness’ and undid selfishness as a way of life. Jesus demonstrated that the focus of the trinity was not on itself but on the well-being of us. The notion that God does not care about the earth is unscriptural and preposterous. ‘For God so loved THE WORLD that He gave His only Son.’
God is not the Cult Leader for materialism, entitlement, selfishness and Earth Killing.
JESUS IS GOD AND REVEALS GOD
“ There is no dark, hidden God to fear behind the back of Jesus Christ; there is only the God who has made Godself known in Him. Even on the cross, the Father and the Son were in one accord and not divided. To imply such a notion would be to destroy the very heart of the Gospel, as well as the at-one-ment of the cross. By applying the homoousion to the event of Christ’s crucifixion, Torrance has helped clarify the unity of God in atonement and removed any need to fear a God behind the back of Jesus Christ. The being and act of the Father and the Son remained united in indestructible oneness—especially on the cross.” (1)
Holy Communion brings belonging, togetherness and life.
*There is a surfeit of informed literature disproving the notion that Jesus was abandoned by Father.
