THE INCARNATION OF CHRIST IN YOU

TO LIVE A FULL GOSPEL

A culture of the Holy Spirit, the anointing, the gifts and signs and wonders by itself is not the Gospel of the Kingdom. The foundation of the Kingdom Jesus began was seeded by the incarnation of The Son as Jesus of Nazareth. Our separation from God was undone by Christ’s atonement on the cross and the undoing of the un-life inherent in Adamic separation was accomplished in the resurrected Christ and demonstrated at Pentecost.

THE AGENT OF CHRIST
Holy Spirit’s mission is to impart all of Christ and His reconciliation to us. Jesus Christ is our union with God. In Him we participate in union with God and we do this by the Spirit who imparts to our person the very presence of Jesus to our being. Holy Spirit’s efficacy is in who Jesus is and what Jesus has done – so that Holy Spirit ministers This Gospel of the Kingdom and not some deviant gospel.

GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT
Like the Son of God the Holy Spirit is no mere cosmic power intermediate between God and the world, but is the very Spirit of God who eternally dwells in him and in whom God knows himself, so that for us to know God in his Spirit is to know him in the hidden depths of his Triune Being as Holy Spirit as well as Father and Son. Apart from the Communion of the Holy Spirit we could not enjoy the Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the Love of God the Father.” (1)

A QUENCHED HOLY SPIRIT
Holy Spirit mediates this Gospel of the Kingdom and will not be seconded into empowering ‘other gospels’ or Christian versions of the knowledge of good and evil, aka ‘law gospels’. If we insist on our own way rather than the living way of Christ our life, Holy Spirit will withdraw, meaning that what began with a bang, ends in a whimper. This is why revivals fade. They have no root.

BLIND EYES
Many Christians are no different in their determinations to “obey God’s principles of Torah to be pleasing to God to show Him how much we love Him” and live under the demands of the law. They are as blind as Israel of old. The veil of Moses that Paul speaks of in 2 Corinthians 3:13 is still on their minds and that veil is only removed in the correct apprehension of Christ. Christ is the end of law living for righteousness to all those who believe.2 The distinctive feature of the promise of the new covenant is the absence of human contingency in the covenantal relationship. It is a monopleuric covenant! (There, I told you that word would come in handy!) There are no “if you” clauses in the new covenant, but rather eight “I will” oaths of God spoken for us! This is the language of God showing His own initiative to secure His own interests on behalf of people who cannot do it for themselves!” (2)

Christ is our life and we are not. We are not alive in our spirit until we choose to live incarnated with Christ come in our flesh.
